Innovative Teaching Practices
India is a country with huge populations and similarly number of universities and educational institutes across the country. As per All India Survey of higher education in 2013 conducted by Ministry of Human Resource development there are more than 642 Universities, 34908 colleges and 11356 stand alone institutions. Still there is not even a single educational institute from India which is listed in top 100 in the world. Thus there is an urgent need for the transformation of Indian educational system. The following methods evaluate the traditional methods of teaching and suggest different innovating teaching methods. With traditional methods of teaching and learning the present day learners feel uncomfortable a bit. Electronics and Computer Science Department thrives to reduce the gap between theoretical and practical understanding of students. The implementations of Project based learning, Technology based learning and Activity based learning along with existing curriculum based learning portrays combining these all types how we can make our teaching more effective. The suggested methodologies are applicable to all the streams of knowledge in general but to Electronics and Computer Science in particular. Ultimately whatever the teaching methodology we adopt, the main motive is that teaching must be learner centric.
